Set Your Goals With Intention

18/02/2021by Terry White

When it comes to setting life goals we tend to set them and forget them, but now that you’ve had January to re-evaluate what you stand for, who you want to be and what you want to have, now is the time to act!

Your circumstances, and thus your priorities, in life are always changing so reassessing your life goals is an important task. And this is where ‘intention’ plays its part – an essential for healthy lifestyle changes to lead a happy and fulfilled life.

Are you experiencing anxiety or depression as a result of your goal? Have you stopped making progress or lost interest in your goal altogether? Do you feel like you’d be happier if you didn’t have to think about your goal any longer? Well, clearly, it’s time for a change.

The key is not to give up outright but to set new intentions instead.

Revisit your original goals. Are they still serving you? If they are, is it feasible in the timeframe you’ve given yourself? Maybe the answer is to adjust your timings?

Evaluate your techniques. Have you identified the steps it will take you to accomplish your goal or are you just going with the flow?

Track your progress. It’s easier to track progress if you know where you’re headed, and you have some idea of how you’re going to get there. Just make sure your intentions are realistic, achievable and measurable.

… And a personal life coach can support you with that.

Life coaching is all about conversation – facilitating understanding, focus and intention, and ultimately providing practical action plans. It is an approach to help find solutions and enjoy more positive experiences in life.”
